A three day weekend should not have me stressed out

When it is all said and done, I might not actually do much of anything on my to-do list. It may indeed be a laid back weekend, but I really would like to knock out a number of things on my to-do list.

I needed clothes for work, so we went to Waxahachie. I didn't really find what I was working for, but found some clothes. I let my mom talk me out of buying a picture frame I wanted because we were going to look elsewhere. We had to go back to Belk to get it because we didn't find anything better.

Mom debated a rug at Target. I asked her if she wanted me to talk her into or out of it. She talked herself out of it even though I told her that Dad would say get it when she asked me what I thought he would say. We had to go back to Target and get it.

I had to go to the grocery store (who likes that?) so that I can have clean hair and teeth and be able to take out my contacts. Not to mention that I needed milk and food.

My house is a mess, I have loads of clothes to hang up, have to make my bed so that I can sleep in it tonight. I'm sorting vacation pictures so that I can work on scrapbooks and get that stuff out of my floor. I need to go through the craft closet and pull out stuff for VBS in early July.

Oh, and I realized today that forgot to get my car inspected in April, and it's a million wonders I that I haven't gotten caught.

I need to work on some upcoming blog posts, update the sermon page on the website, and the fact that I have lots of mailing lists that need to be done for work is lurking in the back of my mind.

I've got a pile of receipts that I need to go through and it wouldn't hurt to look over my last bank statement and figure out bills for next month. Truth is, I really don't want to think about that at all.

Is any of this urgent? No. But I have a problem turning off my brain. It's a good thing I'm the only one who lives here because the clutter around here is driving me nuts, and I usually have everything in its place.

Thank goodness there are still two days left this weekend!

If you ever figure out that "turning your brain off" thing, let me know. It takes me 14 years to get to sleep at night.
