Pharaoh, Pharaoh

This was my most enthusiastic group of singers, and they sure loved this song. Pharaoh, Pharaoh Well a burnin’ bush told me just the other day That I should come over here and stay Got to get God’s people out of Pharaoh’s hand. And lead them out to the promised land. Chorus: Pharaoh, Pharaoh Woa-o Let my people go! Yea, Yea, Yea, Yea, Yea...  (repeat chorus) So me and God’s people going to the Red Sea Pharaoh’s army comin’ after me. I raised my rod, stuck it in the sand And all God’s children walked on the dry land Chorus Well, Old Pharaoh’s army was a comin’ too. So what did you think that I did do? I raised my rod and I cleared my throat And Pharaoh’s army did the dead man’s float. Chorus

Oh, how these kids loved this song! The boy in the back is well taller than me now, and the boy on the front left pointed it out the other day. Just to get back at him, I pointed out that he was not! 😏 Pharaoh, Pharaoh Well a burnin’ bush told me just the other day That I should come over here and stay Got to get God’s people out of Pharaoh’s hand. And lead them out to the promised land. Chorus: Pharaoh, Pharaoh Woa-o Let my people go! I have a hard time convincing the kids I have in class now to sing, especially for video, so I'm pulling some videos from the past back up. These kids really enjoyed their "Pharaoh, Pharaoh." The Ten Plagues

The Plague Song To the tune of “This Old Man” Then God sent, plague number one Turned the Nile into blood.  Chorus: All the people in Egypt were feeling pretty low;  Moses told Pharaoh “let them go!” Then God sent, plague number two Jumping frogs all over you. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number three Swarms of gnats from head to knee. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number four Filthy flies, need we say more? ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number five All the livestock up and died. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number six Boils and sores to make you feel sick. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number seven Hail and lightening down from heaven. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number eight Locust came and they sure ate. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number nine Total darkness all the time. ( Chorus) Then God sent, plague number ten Pharaoh’s son died so he gave in. All the people in Egypt were...

These kids really aren't fans of this song like the other class was. I think I ended up with two videos of them enthusiastically singing it. I told one of the older kids the new class didn't like it and she was SHOCKED! Sorry you have to hear me on this one.
