I Want to Be Like Daniel, I Want to Be Like Ruth

Image
This song is one of the reasons I started doing videos of different children's songs. At the time, this was one of the few songs the kids always sang.  We've gotten in a bit of a rut with the same songs again when making videos which is why so many songs get posted so often. When the next group of kids promote up, I'm going to make a list and not do the same video for 52 weeks. I Want to be Like Daniel, I Want to be Like Ruth (Boys) I want to be like Daniel… (Girls) I want to be like Ruth… (Boys) I want to be like Daniel… (Girls) I want to be like Ruth… (Girls) For Ruth was so, so, sweet and kind (Boys) And Daniel was a mighty man (Boys) I want to be like Daniel. (Girls) I want to be like Ruth.

Scroll down to end of this post to enter! My team of bloggers and I are celebrating the release of Erica Vetsch's The Indebted Earl . We have all been waiting for this last release in the Serendipity & Secrets series. Read more about the book here, then enter to win a Kindle Fire HD 8 tablet at the end of this post. About the book: Can Captain Wyvern keep his new marriage of convenience all business--or will it turn into something more? Captain Charles Wyvern owes a great debt to the man who saved his life--especially since Major Richardson lost his own life in the process. The best way to honor that hero's dying wish is for Wyvern to escort the man's grieving fiance and mother safely to a new cottage home by the sea. But along the way, he learns of another obligation that has fallen on his shoulders: his uncle has died and the captain is now the Earl of Rothwell. When he and the ladies arrive at his new manor house in Devon, they discover an estate in need of a l

Hippopotamus Song

Image
Hippopotamus Song In the beginning, God made the sea And the forest filled with trees He made the mountains up so high And on the top he placed the sky God’s fingerprints are everywhere Just to show how much He cares But in between He had loads of fun He made a hippo who weighs a ton. Chorus Hip-hip-hip-hippopotamus! Hip-hip-hooray! God made all of us. Hip-hip-hip-hippopotamus! Hip-hip-hooray! God made all of us. Creation sings of His praise, The sparrow and the tiny babe. We can sing and say, “well done.” But some things He just made for fun! Chorus In the end He had lots of fun. He made a kangaroo that jumps and runs. Kanga-kanga-kangaroo. Hip-hip-hurray God made me and you. Kanga-kanga-kangaroo. Hip-hip-hurray God made me and you. In the end He had lots of fun. He made a manatee just for fun. Mana-mana-manatee. Hip-hip-hurray God made you and me. Mana-mana-manatee. Hip-hip-hurray God made you and me.

How Will You Respond When God Calls?

How Will You Respond When God Calls? Jodie Niznik leads readers through a study  of an unlikely pair to learn how to live out their calling At first glance, it doesn’t seem like Queen Esther and the prophet Jonah had much in common. Esther was an orphan girl, out of place in royal courts, who nonetheless became queen and saved her beloved Jewish people. Jonah was a reluctant prophet who ran as hard as he could from God. When he finally gave in and his efforts eventually saved his enemies, he did nothing but complain. However, in Crossroads: A Study of Esther and Jonah for Boldly Responding to Your Call  (Kregel Publications/ March 16, 2021/ISBN: 9780825446733/ $16.99), Jodie Niznik leads readers through a study of this unlikely biblical pairing to discover how to live out their unique calling. While Esther and Jonah endured wildly different circumstances and had distinctly singular callings, they were both appointed by God. They were placed in a certain time and space in history. Go

The Bachelor: Matt: Week 10: The Most Excruciating Episode Ever

I don't know why it didn't dawn on me that it was a three hour blogging night. Probably a good thing I didn't think about it earlier in the day.  In the intro to the night and the After the Final Rose, the pick seems to be spoiled in a clip from Ancho Usual Host (you know I have a thing for making up names, but honestly, I could not think of Emmanuel Acho at the moment). Does that mean I could just end the night here? Get ready for #TheBachelor Season Finale Event, followed by #AfterTheFinalRose , tonight starting at 8|7c on ABC! 🌹 pic.twitter.com/wKc0PEGgXh — The Bachelor (@BachelorABC) March 15, 2021 It's snowy at the resort as Matt heads off to see his mom and brother. He says there's a lot that has gone on, and in the past, he's been guarded. The Bachelor: Matt: Week 9: The Fantasy Suite Dates

Image
Tonight at 8|7c on ABC, #TheBachelor is all-new with the final three ladies 🌹 pic.twitter.com/LbxbUNB5n3 — The Bachelor (@BachelorABC) March 8, 2021 I know I have threatened this before, but I'm very serious this time... This very well may be my last season to blog on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette . I just have too many other things I need to be doing right now besides blogging on this dumpster fire of a show, even if it does at least keep me somewhat actively blogging. Speaking of which, I need to catch up on the rest of last week's posts because it was an extremely busy week. After I get through, I have load upon load of laundry to do and I haven't tended to the dishes in my kitchen sink other than to pile more in there since Friday night when I started a load in the already full dishwasher. I also need to be working on press kits. Sigh. So, without further ado, here we go.  It's overnight date week AKA fantasy suites. We have three smitten kitten's left:

As the Deer

One more throwback for now, then I'll have some new videos once we are back in class again. I didn't have the words for "As the Deer" saved like I thought I did, but they are easy to find if you don't know the song.

Is it athletic ability, strength, intelligence, or accomplishments? In Brave and Bold , Marty Machowski offers thirty-one daily devotions to encourage readers to become men whose strength comes from following Jesus and reflects him to a watching world. Each devotion calls men to grow deeper in compassion, kindness, courage, integrity, and service.   Machowski explores the truth that becoming a real man means trusting God in every area of life, including serving, taking responsibility, and confessing failure. Through personal vignettes and practical application, men will be chall
