Everyone Needs a Place to Belong

A Place to Belong: Out of Our Comfort Zone and Into God’s Adventure A moving message of hope and belonging from Circle of Friends President Lisa Troyer Every woman needs a place to belong—and that’s the underlying theme of the new book from Lisa Troyer, president of Circle of Friends Ministries, singer/songwriter and radio host. In A Place to Belong: Out of Our Comfort Zone and into God’s Adventure (Barbour Publishing), Troyer shares her own journey to acceptance as well as the story of a group of dynamic “women helping women” who call themselves the Circle of Friends. Troyer encourages readers to form their own circle of friends, a safe place of truth and love where women can develop lasting relationships and discover together the purposes of God for their lives. Though refreshingly warm and simple, A Place to Belong is far from shallow. Troyer’s passion to lead others into the bottomless love of God compels her to plunge deeply into the heart of the issues all women face, but m

Why is forgiving ourselves so hard?

Kim Cash Tate shows how God cherishes us and provides our hearts’ desires. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Kim Cash Tate explores Psalm 103:12 as she takes her readers down the path to God’s forgiveness and reconciliation in her newest novel, Cherished . Readers will discover that God can still use them in spite of their worst choices. And He doesn’t just forgive them, but they are truly cherished! Tate’s story will show her readers how God can bring beauty from ashes. She has a unique way of weaving her characters’ lives together, leading back to one great point—God’s tremendous mercy and grace. In the words of one of her characters, “I wasn’t sure what to expect. I felt like it would take a while to work my way back into God’s good graces, but it was like…”—she flung wide her arms—“…He just embraced me.” We too can be embraced by the same great love when we learn that true forgiveness for ALL of our sins is right before us.

Am I going senile already? So help me, some days I wonder if I really am losing my mind. Earlier today, I thought, "I'm going to write about that on my blog." Now, I have no clue what it was that I was thinking. Absolutely no idea. I think I'm going to blame this on the fact that I did not take my Sunday nap yesterday, then did not sleep well last night because I worked in my sleep all night long. I'm so tired of doing reports in my sleep. That alone is going to make me lose my mind. Not taking my nap yesterday left me more than a little out of it last night when Rachel came over to talk about the class at church we are going to start team teaching. OOOOHHHH... now I remember what I was going to blog about. All it took was talking about Rachel. Rachel was telling me about this woman she knew that wanted to fix her up a guy she found out her sister went to dinner with once. But, before telling that story, she was telling me about someone from church wanti
