Pam Davis, creator of Girls ’n Grace, and Authentic Books are sponsoring a contest, just in time for Christmas. To launch the release of the latest two books in the Girls ’n Grace series, Sydney Claire: A Girl ’n Grace in the 1960’s and Mesi’s Season of Change: A Friendship Story, they are giving away one of the character dolls. As a Christian mother, Pam Davis knows the lasting imprint that “playtime” can really leave on an impressionable little girl. With the right character as a role model, God could use those sweet afternoon tea parties, hours of make-believe, and sleepovers to sow seeds of faith in tender hearts. This concept became the foundation for the Girls ’n Grace products, a line of dolls and books designed to fulfill Davis’ dream of demonstrating to today’s young girls what it means to be girls of grace. To enter the doll giveaway contest, submit your story about your best teachable grace moment with a child in your life to mystory@girlsngrace.com . Below is ...

Let's see how long I keep this up...

I've been saying for months that I was going to start a blog. One of my major tasks at work is to get blogs to talk about books that I am working on. So I'm always looking at blogs, but don't have one myself. I should create one, I tell myself. Well, I'm finally doing it. We'll see how long it lasts and how often it gets updated. One of my "jobs" outside of work is updating my church's website. I admit to sometimes being less than enthusiastic about that task at times. After working all day, I just can't bring myself to getting on the computer and working on it What makes me think updating this is going to be updated any better I ask myself. What would really make this blog awesome is if I set it up anonymously. I've got funny things to say, but the people in my life might not find them as funny as everyone else. (Just ask my co-workers about some of my family stories. My co-workers find them quite humerous, the family, not so much, for example...
