The rest of my time in Atlanta

Image
There's something about my flights home these days. On Wednesday night, my flight was delayed two hours. At one point it was estimated at almost three hours late due to rain. It's come to the point of "just get me home!" But, before we headed home from ICRS, three of us Litfuse chicks checked out a little more of Atlanta. The upcoming movie release , Mineral, is currently being filmed downtown, and we got held up as they were doing aerial shots. They had light rigs on some corners (like at the Hard Rock) and streets blocked off.  Scroll down for Christine's picture with John C. Morgan, the George W. Bush impersonator. Her day was made! I keep forgetting to show my dad the picture I took of Darryl Strawberry. It's kind of a joke. I'll spare you the story of the drunk guy I talked to across the tracks of the Marta on the way to the airport. Amy and Christine were ready to gag me and never let me speak to anyone else again. I almost gained a ...

I always tell people that working from home is better for people with families than for single people. Anyway... My parents skipped town with their friends, so Mom wasn't around to go with me. I'm so tired of wearing the same stuff around the house, and I seriously thought about wearing a shirt I've had since 2006 today. I took that as a sign to try to find stores having Memorial Day sales. Lane Bryant had a buy one get one free sale. Besides, I can only wait so long to find shoes to wear in Atlanta for ICRS (the International Christian Retail Show), and I leave in less than four weeks. My brain is a little fuzzy

My plans never seem to pan out. I planned on blogging from ICRS, but my wireless connection has been wacky in the hotel and the time it takes to negotiate requires more patience than I have. I got to see a some of a performance by Committed, the winners of the Sing-Off yesterday. They were good, but they would have been even better with a better sound system. Here are a couple of pictures from my phone yesterday, including the Duggar bus.
