Home and Happy, Happy, Happy about it!

Our final day! Paige sums it up for us. Got up about 8 and went down for breakfast. Then once again we were BACK on the road. Made it to West Monroe to see Duck Commander about 10:30 which was totally awesome. WE got some great souvenirs and pics. Then we drove on which felt like years to find somewhere to eat. WE just kept pushing and pushing to go a little farther. Finally to Texas baby!! Once the pushing stopped we ended up going to Sonic in Longview, TX. That satisfied our stomachs.  Finally back home about 3:40 were mom and dad who met us. We told them all our crazy stories. About 2100 miles covered and tons of memories made. We came close to almost an exact 7 day vacation (to the minute!) .  Lots of laughter and troubles (the hill) it all couldn't of fit!! Overall this has been a great vacation and I will never forget it!! Oh, she didn't tell you about the hill! I don't want to talk about me trying to back the truck down the hill to turn aroun...

Take it away Paige! Thursday: Circles Woke up after a restless night. Went and ate continental breakfast and then loaded up and left the hotel to go around Nashville. Parked in a Lifeway parking lot where Peyton and Audra went to shop while Pops and Granmal and I went to walk down Broadway. Then they caught up and we saw the Country Music Walk of Fame, all kinds of old buildings, the gift shop and lobby of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and then Audra and I walked back to get the truck (and pick up the rest of the family). Then we drove and drove in circles to get somewhere to eat. We ended up getting Pizza Hut. Next, a look around the Grand Old Opry building then the humongous Gaylord (lots and lots and lots of circles around the parking lot AGAIN) . Then back on the road home. I'm soo hyper I could run a marathon. Peyton was sick as a dog and then we stopped at Burger King. I kept every one awake and then we stopped in Jackson, MS to stay in the same hotel ...

Where oh where is the bear?

The trip continues... We join Paige already in progress... Wednesday: Tragen (Bear in German) Wakey, wakey!! Woke up about 8 o’clock and packed up the cabin and all our stuff. Our morning consists of Krispy Kreme’s Doughnuts, McDonald’s (since Paige doesn’t eat donuts – making it 5 days in a row for pancakes of some sort, I think) , the Mill painting shop, more fast and awesome Go-Karts where Peyton did a 360. Went on a hunt for Wear’s monuments, markers and graves (including a trip to the library and cemetery… think episode of Who Do You Think You Are) , and to top it all off, the largerest Alpine Slide in the U.S. would be the last thing in Pigeon Forge. A great way to finish!! (Twice!) Around Cade’s Cove we go. A beautiful view. We saw deer and a bear which was one of the highlights of the day. Nashville here we come!! Cracker Barrel stop which was sooo good!! Then to Comfort in to relax and chillax after such a busy few days!! This was the day we hit ...
