I'm happy with the men's choice of Bachelorettes... I think

In case you haven't been reading the social media gossip today, The Bachelorette fans are convinced that Ryan M was an actor/plant designated to get kicked off so that there would be 24 men remaining. After he got sent back to the junkyard, with an even number of men, the vote could be a tie and mean that both women stayed. The fact that Ryan was an ex-boyfriend of Juan Pablo's Nikki only helped fan that flame. Could be. I don't really have an opinion on that. I just hope the men voted for Kaitlyn. So, tonight's episode begins with the guys still chattering on while Chris Harrison counts roses. "I hope it's Britt," "who are you hoping it will be?" "I'm Kaitlyn all the way." Enough talk! More action! How quickly will the men change their minds when the other woman gets the most votes? I doubt anyone quits. After the count, much to the show's credit, Chris Harrison goes out to Britt to tell her that the majority of th...

Historic. Dramatic. Unprecedented. Controversial. Event. The Bachelorette.

If anyone out there is actually reading this, please comment. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just entertaining 5 people and wasting my time. Then again, what else do I have to do, right? Before the credits to Dancing with the Stars is finished, we already know that the guys are going to vote between Kaitlyn and Britt and that we're going to spread this "dramatic season premiere of The Bachelorette " over two nights. I think I'm team Kaitlyn. I am not her biggest fan, but I really don't like Britt. Historic. Dramatic. Unprecedented. Controversial. All Chris Harrison adjectives for this "event." The story goes that when they were interviewing the men in the casting process, they were split between which woman should be on the show. The producers decided to let the men decided so that there would be a better chance at love. First off, we are of course, re-introduced to the two women who were dumped by Chris Soules. Kaitlyn shocked the girls ...

Karaoke with Robin Lee Hatcher

Image
A couple of days ago, I posted about Robin Lee Hatcher's Whenever You Come Around , and two fun contests to go along with the new book. Although I am not eligible to win, I've created a video to help promote the contest. I've included more details below, but know that you DO NOT have to be a blogger to join. Anyone can make a video, submit their link, and get a FREE copy of the book! I picked the Dolly Parton version of "I Will Always Love You" because of one of the matching questions in Robin's other contest . (I just gave you an answer, by the way!) Some of my co-workers never fail (though unintentionally) to remind me how old and Texan I am. Whitney Houston did not sing the song first! Robin Lee Hatcher’s new book,  Whenever You Come Around , is here, and to celebrate, she’s challenging YOU to a karaoke contest. To get you started, here’s Robin with some inspiration: Robin is giving away a $100 iTunes or Amazon gift card to one lu...

I may be too old for this

Image
If you have been reading my blog for any period of time, you have heard me talk about how I don't get out of the house much. Well, that's mostly true lately except for the five Saturdays in a row I haven't been home. A few of those were selling crafts. I work and do crafts. That's what I do. I'm pretty predictable. Right down to what I do when I have a big night out of the house. I either go to watch the Texas Rangers play, which I did five weeks ago, or I go to a certain group's concert. Yes, I have seen New Kids on the Block four times in the past seven years at the American Airlines Center. That makes five times total, all with my friend, Jenny. The first time, in 1990, we were in junior high, and we have a pact to go with each other. One time someone else went with us (apart from when we had to be chaperoned), but we must not go apart from one another. Jenny was proudly bragging to everyone we spoke to last night that this was our fifth time. ...
