Why is "The Men Tell" all always such Bachelorette let down?

Here we are at the almost end of the season. Tonight it's the Men Tell All episode of The Bachelorette . Tonight after what is sure to be an epic waste of two hours that could have been covered in 15 minutes, I have to work on back posting on my blog. I'm a week behind because I haven't posted/scheduled since last Monday night when I posted Tuesday nights blog. Such is life as of late! Oh, and of course, I'm trying to eat dinner as the show starts. I didn't get down as early as I planned. That's nothing new either. There will be a lot of commercials though, so there's that. Just the teasers at the top of the show make me want to skip. I can't handle Jordan. Yes, I am cranky today. I'm just in a cranky mood. Now, we have previews of Bachelor in Paradise with Jordan and Krystal. I will probably try to watch, but I am 95% sure I am not going to spend the next several Mondays and Tuesdays trying to blog about it. In fact, I hope to be able to get m...

The Bachelorette: Men Say the Dumbest Things edition

Image
Tonight from the previews of The Bachelorette, I can tell you that most of this blog will be pointing out the dumbest things the men say. I didn't order my pizza soon enough, so of course, I am running late even though I planned all day to be ready to go on time. Me and my plans! We join Becca and her men in Thailand. In Shanghai to be exact. I'm going to put all of the stupid statements in quotes because some are just cliche. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST ROMANTIC PLACES I HAVE EVER BEEN. #bachelorettebingo Further proof this show is scripted. She roams the streets smelling food, rides a puttputt, She arrrives at the Shangri-la and muses on how she is in love with two men and falling in love with a third. She recaps where she is with each man. In love vs. falling in love. Best friend vs. hot attraction. Who has said, "I love you." The first date of the week is Blake.  When he arrives at his stop, Becca literally jumps him. I HAVE A GREAT DAY PLANNED. The proble...

The Bachelorette hometowns

I needed to go to the bank before they closed and made it about 30 seconds before they turned off the "Open" lights on the drive-thru lanes. I went to Whataburger and downed dinner so that I can start blogging tonight about The Bachelorette on time. I'm so behind on blogging that I have to catch up tonight after I finish this show. Like serious backposting from the past week and a half. We start off this week's episode with Garrett in his hometown of Manteca, CA. Before meeting the family, Garrett takes her out to the farm to plant tomatoes. She is so not appropriately dressed. She's wearing some kind of romper shorts and bootie heels to get on the tractor. Then, they plant a tree to commemorate the occasion. Of course, there is a picnic, too. The last girl Garrett brought home, two years ago, it was the woman he married and promptly divorced. Garrett talks about how controlling the ex-wife got and how their family values did not align. He thinks he aligns...

Hoping for no drama in the Bahamas

I have absolutely got to quit work earlier on Monday nights than I do. It took me forever to make and eat my salad, and here I am starting about thirty minutes late. Sigh. I never learn my lessons. This is an important week for Becca as she goes from six to the four that she will visit on hometown dates next week. This week, Becca and the guys head to the Bahamas. Becca is so excited to be there for the first time. After last week, she's hoping for no drama in the Bahamas. Well, good luck with that. The guys wait for the date card and muse about how big the week is and how stressful it will be. Taking someone home to the family is a big deal. There may be a lot of loves and falling in loves falling around this week. There are going to be four dates this week and no rose ceremony. Three one-on-one dates and a group date. The roses will be handed out at the dates. She takes Colton off first and Blake pouts. Everyone thought it was going to be him to get the first group date, ...

It's getting serious on #thebachelorette, but Leo is seriously still there?

I’m only starting a little late tonight on the post. I haven’t watched and blogged live all season long. Tonight I spent too long logging off of working and getting something to eat. I started watching while eating, then had to back up. I was close to being on track until I had to get my computer back on. Anyway, tonight we are in Richmond, Virginia. Since Virginia is for lovers, what better place for Becca to fall in love (insert sarcasm here). Becca meets with Chris Harrison to talk about feeling how things are progressing and how she’s starting to feel the feelings of love again. She’s happy and thinking about love and seeing cute babies and wedding magazines. All the guys are supposedly so wonderful. I still think there are some crazies in the mix. Leo hopes that just like Virginia birthed a nation, it will birth a relationship with he and Becca. Colton hopes to keep up the momentum from last week. As the guys wait for the date card, Chris is still bei...

Even more odd things going down on #thebachelorette

Urg. I had watch the last ten minutes online.  Here I go back posting this week’s episode of The Bachelorette again. I was going to work on it after getting back from Peyton’s softball game, but my parents’ air conditioner went out and they needed to come over here to sleep, so it wasn’t a good time to start work on it. Of course, here I actually am on Tuesday after long day. Terrific in that there’s a good job announcement to make (more on that tomorrow’s post), but also maddening in how I ended up on the phone with tech support for two hours. (This time not with AT&T, but had to be on chat with them yesterday, and I’m waiting for another new router. Because my internet keeps spacing in and out, I am having to type this as a word doc to paste into the blog.) Anyway… 10 PM Tuesday hoping to get this in before I fall asleep typing from the chair in my living room. This week’s episode starts on a rainy day where David is complaining about Jordan, especially his r...
