The Bachelor: Matt: Week 10: The Most Excruciating Episode Ever

Image
I don't know why it didn't dawn on me that it was a three hour blogging night. Probably a good thing I didn't think about it earlier in the day.  In the intro to the night and the After the Final Rose, the pick seems to be spoiled in a clip from Ancho Usual Host (you know I have a thing for making up names, but honestly, I could not think of Emmanuel Acho at the moment). Does that mean I could just end the night here? Get ready for #TheBachelor Season Finale Event, followed by #AfterTheFinalRose , tonight starting at 8|7c on ABC! 🌹 pic.twitter.com/wKc0PEGgXh — The Bachelor (@BachelorABC) March 15, 2021 It's snowy at the resort as Matt heads off to see his mom and brother. He says there's a lot that has gone on, and in the past, he's been guarded. When someone asks me to recap @mattjames919 ’s season of #TheBachelor 😅 #TheBachelorFinale pic.twitter.com/jTaKG5oLKy — The Bachelor (@BachelorABC) March 16, 2021 His brother asks if he is happy with his decision...

The Bachelor: Matt: Week 9: The Fantasy Suite Dates

Tonight at 8|7c on ABC, #TheBachelor is all-new with the final three ladies 🌹 pic.twitter.com/LbxbUNB5n3 — The Bachelor (@BachelorABC) March 8, 2021 I know I have threatened this before, but I'm very serious this time... This very well may be my last season to blog on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette . I just have too many other things I need to be doing right now besides blogging on this dumpster fire of a show, even if it does at least keep me somewhat actively blogging. Speaking of which, I need to catch up on the rest of last week's posts because it was an extremely busy week. After I get through, I have load upon load of laundry to do and I haven't tended to the dishes in my kitchen sink other than to pile more in there since Friday night when I started a load in the already full dishwasher. I also need to be working on press kits. Sigh. So, without further ado, here we go.  It's overnight date week AKA fantasy suites. We have three smitten kitten's left:...

The Bachelor: Matt: Women Tell All

Image
Another Monday, another day of big intentions of being in on the couch at 7:00, another failure. Hoping to whiz through this episode because, are we really going to gain anything insightful? I doubt it. Chris Harrison says there was more controversy and drama than in any season before. Only if you count his own controversy and drama. A lot of cat fights and mean girls. More mean girls than any other season.  After a roll of clips of drama between the women, Chris addresses Jessenia and MJ. MJ says she owned it and apologized for what she said to Matt. She still says she wasn't there to tear anyone down, only to build people up. Jessenia was just Jessenia. Chris is ready to move on quickly. Chris changes the subject to when the five new women arrived. Ryan spoke, mentioned Victoria, and quickly changed the subject to Queen Victoria's reign. Victoria likes to make up words like upsetness. She claims she does blow off comments about her bra straps though. (I for one am guilty of t...

The Bachelor: Matt: Week 8: The Fake Hometowns

It's Hometowns tonight on #TheBachelor 🏡🌹 pic.twitter.com/ZKyTKxHvBk — The Bachelor (@BachelorABC) February 22, 2021 I had to end up working Monday night, so I didn't get to watch and blog like I usually too. I was disgruntled that I was on a deadline because A) Monday night is the one night I try to get done with work, dinner and on the couch at 7:00 and B) because if I didn't do it Monday, I'd have a heck of a time motivating myself to do this blog post otherwise.  Let's just say I know myself well.  On Tuesday night, I had a softball game, and here it is Wednesday, I worked until 7:30, cooked dinner, ate and am dreading starting this at 9:00. I'm also kind of just over all things The Bachelor right now. I haven't read it all, so I can't really make an educated comment, but my news tab on Facebook is full of angry Bachelor cast members. I really think the whole franchise may implode soon.  Also, who can keep track on if Clare and Dale are on again ...

The Bachelor: Matt: Week 7: The One Where Half of Them Go Home

Image
So, the way we left it last week, Heather had just arrived in her rented minivan and strutted right in to interrupt Matt and Pieper.  Matt laughs at Heather and her arrival, and tells Pieper he needs a minute. Matt welcomes her and gives her another hug. Some of the women know who Heather is, and some do not. Abigail knows all about who she is. Heather tells Matt that Hannah Brown thought that Matt would be a good match for Heather. Heather evidently went to Hannah's house and Hannah told Matt all about Matt and blah, blah, blah. Why this whole conversation didn't happen before Matt started taping seems suspect. Extremely fishy. Matt says Hannah knows him well, what she has to say means a lot to him, but he needs to think about it.  Heather wanders into the room where the other women are. They start grilling her asking her what she is doing there. Jessenia asks if she's ready to be engaged in two weeks. Chelsea asks if she was on another season. When Heather says she was, J...

The Bachelor: Week 6: Matt: Another One Bites the Dust

Image
Let's just right in, shall we?  All of the women are waiting for what they call the two-on-one between MJ and Jessinia. MJ is the last member of the Mean Girl Tribe as one of the women puts it, and it's time to go. The rest of the women want their time at the cocktail party and hope this whatever it is ends quickly. Matt arrives and tells them this is not the way he planned this evening. They need to get to the bottom of what is going on. He asks to talk to Jessenia first. She doesn't THINK she has anything to worry about. She tells Matt that MJ lied to his face the other night. She was in cahoots (my word) with Victoria. MJ says she loves to preach by example, but she's the one that started the division.  I'm not sure if this is the route she should have gone. It usually backfires on both sides.  Meanwhile, MJ is in the other room having an emotional breakdown. I'm going to say it's fake though.  Also, MJ's dress looks like a 90 year old man's suit...

My Most Popular Comment on Facebook Ever

Image
I may never become popular as a blogger on The Bachelor , but last week, my comment on one of their Facebook posts was one of, if not the, most popular comment. The post was about Queen V telling Matt she felt sorry for him.  My comment about being sorry that Victoria can't wear a dress without her bra hanging out everywhere at last look had 391 likes and more than 60 replies.  I'm also sorry that photo from my phone didn't come out better. I was trying to embed what was supposed to be the whole post (see below), but you have to click on the Facebook icon in order to see the comments.  Finally, I got smart and added my blog link in there, so I'm hoping to have a bigger audience next week. Someone said they bookmarked me, and I did get some new views. Maybe I have a chance of getting noticed after all!

The Bachelor: Matt: Week 5: Weeding out the Mean Girls

Image
So help me, I couldn't start this show on time to save my life.  I even cooked last night to be prepared to have leftovers and not have to cook ahead of time. All day, I planned to stop work in plenty of time. Then, one of my computers has taken to randomly and sporadically freezing up. Then, I pulled out the keyboard tray on my computer and the whole thing came out. To fix it, I had to get 24 ball bearings put back in place right, then one side fell out, and I had to do 12 of them all again. Then, I had to catch someone on something work related later than I anticipated. I had to check something else non-work related, and here I am, after heating up my leftovers, fifteen minutes late. I'm so annoyed.  Now, on with the show.  We ended last week's episode with Katie, during the after part of the group date, warning Matt about the mean girl issues.  The next morning, two of the new girls (Brittany and Ryan) are on a walk and pass by Victoria and someone who are talking...
