I could create the hottest blog on the web

I am trying to figure how to do a blog where I can post about the ridiculousness of some things that go on in life that you really can't talk about as yourself because of some random person that might catch wind of it and read it. This would be oh-so therapeutic. I know most every blogger out there would like to do the same. I think we should make an anonymous blog society, have code names and anyone who wanted to make a post could become a contributor. We could do so anonymously and offer sympathy to one another as we share our hilarious or maddening stories. And you could change your name with each entry if you wanted to, just so that people might not figure out who you were. We could entertain the masses, and everyone could post a feed on their Facebook and we would become famous. We should do this. I could start this. Who is with me? I'd have enough material for a week just from life's experiences of the past few days. I'd start with the post, "I know wha...

Warped priorities?

I am taking a quick break from what I am doing in order to post a quick blog since I am making sure I don't go blank three days in a row. A mandate on myself. An expectation for I am trying to live up to. Evidently, my priorities are out of whack since I have not finished what I set out to do last night and today. I was working on something last night, and interrupted myself by posting something on Facebook that turned into quite the discussion. The selling of review copies of books. You can check out more of the discussion on Facebook, but it boils down to this. It is frowned upon to sell the review copies of the books you receive for free, especially when it is on Amazon where a publicist can track them back to you. I can go into that discussion more later if you really want to explore that topic. I set out to get some stuff done today, but went bowling instead. Yes, that is completely random. It was part of Paige's pre-birthday celebration when Grandma and Pop. I am at t...

Silently singing

Did anyone catch this craziness on America's Got Talent this week? Obviously, all I have done other than work lately is watch too much TV, and honestly, I haven't done much of that either. This "talented" woman here was the topic of discussion between my Facebook friend Christine and I this week. She has agreed to write my death song, but said it would include many lines from my favorite reality TV shows, including the  Hoarding: Buried Alive  and The Bachelor . I need a life worse than I thought. OK. I not only admit that I sing silently, I admit that my life kind of is pathetic enough that my eulogy just might center around reality TV. So, here are some of the lines she will have to fit in. Feel free to add more ideas for her. I just want to guard and protect you're heart... Will you accept this rose... If you are here for the right reasons. Love should be multiplied, not divided. But she didn't want the sister wives, she wanted the man. Surv...

I must have talent

I hate goal setting. I just do. In my mind, it's just a way to fall short and guage failure. They make me nervous - give me anxiety. I am sure I need to seek counseling for that. However, by next year, I plan to figure out my talent. This weekend, I have been catching up on America's Got Talent. I think this every year. Both the people that get sent to the next level and those who do not. Maybe I just have the good sense and intelligence to know I don't have talent. Maybe it is just my critical nature, but I fail to find the talent in a pudgy little person with dwarfism and lots of tatoos doing a strip tease. Or the 50-something man belly-flopping from 26 ft into a kiddie pool with 12 inches of water. That is stupidity. And he didn't look good in his lycra swimsuit that left zero to the imagination. Nor the woman who went about Inserting darts into her body. That's just disgusting and sick. She must have been anemic since she didn't bleed. Maybe I co...

Return to normalcy

I'm ready for a little more normal. One reason blogging has been slow as of late is I've been even busier at work than normal over the past 6 weeks. There are a few contributing factors that I won't bore you with the details on. I'm just ready for things to get closer to a normal level. Of course, normal is relative. I should have done a live blog while watching TV the one night I actually sat on the couch and watched the ridiculously stupid Bachelorette . I kind of thought the masked man was on the attractive side. All the other guys called him old, and Ashley said he looked older than she thought he would be. For crying out loud, the guy was 35. Maybe it's because I'm "old" that I thought what I did. Compared to the maturity level of most of those involved, I guess 34 is old. OH, oh, oh! Good news to report, but it sounds stupid to announce. I went to the dentist this week, and thank goodness Ashley from the Bachelorette wasn't the dentist....

It doesn't make much sense,but..

Tonight after church, Jenny is coming over to watch the "special one hour episode" of Sister Wives that follows the season finale that aired two weeks ago. TLC's explanation of seasons make no since to me. I think they sometimes have three seasons a year. Combine them all and they make a normal TV season. But that really is not what I was referring to in my title, I am getting to that. Tonight's episode revolves around Kody and Robyn announcing her pregnancy. I don't know why, but this is where I get really ooged out. Makes no sense why now. Actually, I guess it is wife #4 that ooges me. They were a family unit for 17 years before taking this wife in. The others were all married before any kids came along. I know. None of it makes sense. There is sure to be drama. Meri expressing her angst at only being able to have one child. Christine doesn't seem to have liked Robyn or any recent situations in my opinion. I don't think Janelle cares too much - I...
