The last weekend before a whole lot of crazy

This weekend I had a couple of orders to work on, and had some projects to wrap up in the studio. This is the last weekend before our events start. We have nine scheduled between September 10 and December 3. There are a few weeks that we won't have events, but those will be catch-up weekends.

I probably didn't savor this particular Saturday as much as I should have. I got up at 7:30 AM which is usually early for me on a regular Saturday. However, given the weeks to come, that's going to be late. I guess it was unconscious preparation.

I have to say though, I did feel like I was 15 again for a few minutes today. Since I've not driven the truck with the trailer yet, Dad went with me as I drove around. We ended up out at the church parking lot to see if I could back the trailer up. I can't. Neither can Dad, but I think that was the point of practice. It was a little Driver's Ed deja vu.

Mom drives him crazy telling him what he should do as he tries to back the trailer into the driveway. When I got home, I backed his stance on she can't tell him because she doesn't know how hard it is.
I'll be fine as long as I can drive forward and never have to back out of any spot ever.
