Where will #bachelorette Rachel be headed next week on hometowns?

Tonight Rachel will narrow the field of six down to the four men she will take on hometown dates. Everyone is in Geneva, Switzerland this week. When Rachel comes in to give them a rundown of the week, she announces there will not be a rose ceremony. There will be three one-on-one dates and a group date and roses will be given on the dates. The first one on one goes to Bryan. The others are deflated as she tells Bryan to go get ready. She tells the men to trust her and not get in their heads.  Adam doesn't get why she's into a guy like him and is now angry he gets more time with her. Rachel walks Bryan out to a Bentley convertible, and he is giddy. They drive around the city, passing the United Nations and the other sites. Since Switzerland is known for chocolate, cheese and watches, they go watch shopping. She buys him (and herself) a big honkin' watch. From there, it's a boat ride. She finds a quiet confidence about him very attractive. I still don't real...

I didn't want to blog about #thebachelorette tonight anyway

Peyton had a softball game earlier, then I got to doing other things when I got home. I needed to send a confirmation for an interview this week since it's a holiday tomorrow. I also was watching a pearl party. At 10 PM, I was trying to psych myself up to do my post on The Bachelorette  before I lost the rest of the juice in my laptop battery. I go to the DVR and don't find a new episode. Because it's a holiday week, no new episode. Fine. To be be completely honest, I didn't want to blog tonight anyway. Maybe I will go to bed early and/or read because Peyton has another game at 8:30 AM tomorrow.

Points for #thebachelorette weeding out the drama

Here it is on Tuesday night at 10:30, and I'm finally about to start my blog on The Bachelorette. My friend, Rachel (not to be confused with the actual Bachelorette), was over last night, and we were working on a VBS project. Therefore, I didn't watch. Peyton had a softball game tonight, then when I got home, I got to working on backlogged blog posts and chatting with a couple of friends, so I am just now getting going. I hope it goes quick. This week's episode starts with everyone going outside to see what DeMario has to say to Rachel. He showed up to talk to her after she kicked him to the curb yesterday when his girlfriend came on the scene. Security asks the guys to back up and give Rachel and DeMario a moment. DeMario wants another chance and throws mottos and life quotes at her. He still has a woman in his life, right? Rachel said she gave him a chance to 'fess up in the gym. She can't let him lie to her and come back in. The attorney in her stands her...

Whatever am I going to blog about the next few months on Monday nights?

There will be no more Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, etc. until January. Whatever am I going to blog about on Mondays for the next few months?  I'm already going to have some trouble filling my blog for the rest of the month.  I saw online where Luke was supposed to be the next Bachelor and that right before they announced it, they kicked him out to bring Nick in. Turns out since people started liking Nick a little bit more, they thought it would be a bigger draw. I would have gone for Luke. He seemed more normal. I want to see people that are more normal. Obviously, that doesn't make for good TV though. The fall TV season will be starting soon, so I need to pick some new shows to watch. I do have the opportunity to do some TV reviews and/or summaries on a new website that also reviews books. We'll see how that goes!

The tearful and obsessed arrive on #BachelorInParadise

So, Evan is not the only person who can't take a hint. Ash Kardash is back in Paradise and once again after Jared. I feel sorry for the guy. Tonight, with the show open, I realize that the show really doesn't need Chris Harrison at all. Of course, Ashley I. aka Ash Kardash because she reminds me of a Kardashian, gets a date card. She tells Chris Harrison that she and Jared are really good friends, but it will never be "just friends" for her. She says they have had nothing going on the past 5 months or more. She doesn't know why they aren't together. I do. Chris asked her about her crying. She says her goal is to only cry three times. "A day?" he asks. All together. When she arrives, Jared has to put on his fake happy face and give her a hug. The whole vibe changes. She immediately asks to take Jared off. She asks what has been going on. He said he started off with Emily, but he's into Caila as of yesterday. She's trying not to cry. ...

Bored in Paradise

Thankfully, tonight's episode of Bachelor in Paradise is only an hour long because A) I don't want to blog longer than that for sure and B) Peyton and some friends are over tonight. I don't want to be overly present, but I don't want to ignore them either. To start the morning, Jared or someone is trying to count his abs? Is it 5? Josh and Amanda are going after it way too early in the morning. Nick swears to Daniel that he's not mad. Yeah, right. I'm going to say what I have said before... parents should not go on this show. Period. If they do, they need to be more responsible that to get with any and everyone. Sarah has a compliment Daniel session. He wants to take her on a date whether he gets the card or not. Poor Sarah may just be taking any attention she gets. A rare night arrival comes on the scene. It's Christian from JoJo's season. He opens his date card. "Who are you falling for. Choose a date." The girls all find him attr...

Not Carly's idea of Paradise, that's for sure. #bachelorinparadise

I should be watching the Olympics. Instead, I'm watching Bachelor in Paradise. Well, at least I can fast forward through all the commercials and sports I am not as interested in when I watch it later. So, tonight, we start off seeing if Chad actually left after Chris Harrison sent him off. While everyone is cheering his exit (that was deja vu), Chad is throwing a hissy fit. He can't figure out what it is he's going to do with his life after this. He is eating lunch meat on his way out, furnished in the car, of course. He also kicks himself for drinking the first night. The women whine that Chad leaving does mean one less rose, and now one more girl will go home. More competition arrives. Leah from Ben's season. The twins muse how different she looks. She does. Like unrecognizable. The twins think she is going to bring the tornado of drama. Well, she thinks she and Lace are friends, but Lace disagrees Leah arrives with a date card. "Leah, it's finally time...

"Paradise" is a hot mess of epic proportions

A dramatic new season of  Bachelor in Paradise . I don't know if I can really handle this train wreck. There's so many people I can't stand. And I'm not talking about Chad. I'm talking about Ash Kardash and Amanda's voice and Nick. Sigh. Fights, marriage proposals and tears. Chris Harrison calls it jaw-dropping. Honestly, the best part of this whole show is the opening sequence with "Almost Paradise" playing even though last season's was better. How fast will the hook-ups start? The pre-arrival interviews... The Taylor Swift twins are the first introductions. Will anyone know the difference between Haley and Emily? They think so. I am not so sure. Nick, who is now 35 is going to be one of the old people. He as rejected by both Andi and Kaitlyn at the end. He's interested in getting to know Jubilee. Not going to lie. I find that odd.  Speaking of Jubilee, there she is. She has been told she can be unapproachable. After watching ...

Tonight's #TheBachelorette #MenTellAll gave me a headache

I need a good laugh. I really hope tonight's Men Tell All is interesting, but I anticipate wanting to snooze while blogging, quite honestly. I'm going to want to punch Chad in the face. I know that. I also imagine that there will be a good bit of push for Bachelor in Paradise . Oh snap. Chad and Evan are both going to be there. Shirts are going to be destroyed. Ash Kardash after Jared. Nick is going to be there. The Taylor Swift twins. Jubilee. Why am I going to watch? I know I will, but... The men here tonight... James S., Grant, Ali, Brandon, Christian, Nick B., Derek, James F., Daniel, Jonathan, Vinny, Evan, Wells, James Taylor, Alex, Chase, and Luke. They don't let Chad join them yet. Honestly, I don't remember much about two of the James guys and Brandon. At least Evan cut his hair. Chris asks them about their first night and expectations. Luke said he was basically smitten from the start. A couple of guys answer, then a season overview video. The battl...

There are good guys out there, but they are all in love with #thebachelorette

Tonight, we pick up with a recap of JoJo being decided to tell Luke bye. At least her camera interview said that. But, Luke asked to talk to her before the roses were given out. He wanted to make sure he understood that not only did his heart belong to her, he "is in love with her." Because saying it exactly like that makes all the difference in the world. At least to JoJo it does. She breaks down into tears and wanders the runway in agony over her decision. Will she do the right thing? Here's the thing. If you don't like the first one you choose, you can actually decide on another one later on because chances are, you won't make it down the aisle. The whole season, there was just something about Luke. Maybe his intensity. HOWEVER, last week, in Burnet, Texas, he won me over. He just did. So, what's a girl like JoJo to do? That's where we pick-up tonight. The rest of the men wonder what is going on and comment on Luke's timing when he wa...

Will JoJo have a new #hometown after #thebachelorette?

Image
Tonight, we will be visiting the final four men's hometowns along with JoJo. What secrets will be revealed by family members? If your family can't embarrass you, no one can. Highlands Ranch, Colorado is the first stop on tonight's tour. Chase is atop a snow covered hill waiting for JoJo to arrive. JoJo says that while they started off hot, he's been slower to open up than some of the others. Since Chase's parents went through a very difficult divorce a number of years ago, Chase is going to introduce him to his father separately. This is some of the reason he's been a little guarded. Chase takes JoJo to his large house. I'm impressed. The doorbell rings, and Chase's dad is on the other side. Chase and his dad catch up with each other on what is going on. Chase says that his dad is in a second relationship, but is doing it right this time. Seeing how great he is with his second wife, they talk about what didn't work the first time around. The f...
