My latest "thing"... It won't last long.

A few weeks ago, when we launched a new blog on the Litfuse website, one of our new things was to share a favorite recipe. I kind of skipped over that part and asked if anyone could hook me up with Starbucks' Salted Caramel Mocha frappachino recipe.

I pointed out that I usually don't cook because it's just me. At one point I frequented my parents' house a lot for meals, because I could. Then, I worked a lot of extra hours. And then, I just didn't want to because it was just me and why bother.

I told a co-worker that it wasn't because I COULDN'T cook, I just DIDN'T.

I do admit... my recipe board on Pinterest is "I wish someone would cook this for me."

Then, last week, she made a crack about she wished she could put a camera in my kitchen and watch me cook. This has to do with the fact that I said anytime I cooked in the oven, my smoke detector went off. It's really sensitive. It goes off when a crumb gets dark in the toaster. This wisecrack got back to me. (Love you, but you got sold out!)

So, this weekend, I finally cooked some ribs I had been planning to cook. They were soooooo good.

And I often make comments about burning my tongue on bad frozen dinners. Someone told me a I needed a crockpot since I worked from home. I said, "no because the smell will make me hungry all day."

Well, I bought a crockpot yesterday, and the smell is driving me crazy nuts with hunger. Thanks for the bright idea LaDonna.

I found a purple crockpot at Walmart a couple of weeks ago. I told my mom it was on my Christmas list, but I didn't think she was paying attention. I told her I bought it, and I could tell she was bummed because she had added it to my list and it's the second thing that's been taken off my list recently.

I *think* the potatoes that I stole out of my parents' fridge are done, finally. So I'm about to go eat this, hoping the green beans don't taste like frozen rubber green beans.
