Is it too soon to be ready for next weekend?
Seriously? I know it is Saturday night, but is it too soon to be ready for next weekend?
Last weekend, the race was on for coloring decorations for Vacation Bible School. Jenny, Rachel and I sat around coloring last Friday night. I colored with Paige and Peyton on Saturday.
Monday, instead of walking, I met Rachel at the church and we dug out some stuff for VBS. Then, we cut out pirates that we colored. Wednesday we worked some after church. Last night, we were up there from 5:30-almost 11. Today 3:30-9:00.
Another night Rachel and Ellen colored more pirates and cut them out while I was sorting through something for a craft.
But, the room looks A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Especially the posters I lettered and Rachel colored for memory verses. And the whole wall full of a mural I bought and we hung. And are glorious paper palm trees we assembled and made from scratch.
Now, I have to work on press kits tomorrow for work.
No photos at the moment because A) we just didn't take them and B) we don't want the kids to somehow see the room before Monday night.
Jenny knows from years past what it is like helping me get ready. Now Rachel is probably saying "never again." I'm lucky I still have friends after prepping.
After 5 nights of teaching VBS, I'll be ready for next weekend. Oh, and I still don't have my lesson read for in the morning. *sigh*
